Just received an email from the Forum regarding the Panto (took the grandson in the past) and go to the odd gig.
Dec 18th, Theatres may open by then.

Review of current tiers on the 16th - if we move down to Tier 2 then some things can start to happen again.

We should have an idea the weekend before, as we did with this last announcement. Fingers crossed we're into Tier2.
i work in the theatre and it is our intention to reopen on the 19th Dec with a socially distanced panto running until 3rd Jan. everyone working behind the scenes is desperate for this to go ahead with being shut since march! all dependent on the official announcement on 16th but we are keeping everything crossed!

Not much though. They moved the goaposts after we were last in tier 2.

Just got e-mail that Nick Cave tour is cancelled in May so things might be a bit premature with the hope for changes on Dec 16.

Things like Nick Cave wont happen but locally Georgian Theatre can reopen and put on seated limited capacity shows - not the same but its a start and better than nowt.
It went under the radar but the govt agreed that a ticketed music show was the same as buying a substantial meal in a pub so gigs can happen with table service drinks if they are geared up to it.

Can see there being panic in Downing St about a whole load of northerners moving into tier 2 a week before Christmas and enjoying themselves. The figures will be analysed with slightly different criteria to keep us in tier 3 until after New Year's Eve.
