Former CIA Director worries what Trump May do next

This shows how unstable he is.

Former CIA Director John Brennan bluntly articulated the worries of many current and former officials who spoke to NBC News.

"I think there is a lot that's going to happen over the next 75 days as Trump carries out vendettas, settles scores and tries to position himself for his next act," he said. "He is a totally unprincipled, unethical individual. I don't think anything is beyond him, and that's very scary to say."

Americans should be "apprehensive about what's going on," retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey said on MSNBC. "We ought to be worried about this."

Worried about what?
Doesn't state what American's have to be worried about?
What exactly can he do that won't be shot down in flames?

I think things being shot down in flames is what people are worried about.

Unlike the movies he alone doesn't possess the power to obliterate a nation all by himself.

He has the power to cause an awful lot of damage in the next ten weeks. Looks like he's going after Iran in a big way, to try and stop the next administration from being able to resurrect the arms deal.

Would those in charge of the boots on the ground and the drones in the sky follow through with those orders though given the weird times we find ourselves in?
Wouldn't they have to clear it with Biden's administration first? Not on a wind up by the genuinely interested.

It's not sending forces in, but imposing more sanctions, pulling out of more accords - just generally screwing everything up. He's vengeful.

Ah I get you now.

Wouldn't they all be easily reversed after January 20th? Surely the Iranians would figure out trump is just playing vengeful politics?

These firings went under the radar as well. The first is the most alarming

The Trump administration abruptly dumped the leaders of three agencies that oversee the nuclear weapons stockpile, electricity and natural gas regulation, and overseas aid during the past two days, drawing a rebuke from a prominent Republican senator for one of the decisions.

The sudden departures included:

Lisa Gordon-Hagerty, administrator of the National Nuclear Security Administration, the first woman to oversee the agency in charge of the nuclear stockpile. She was required to resign on Friday.
Bonnie Glick, deputy administrator of the U.S. Agency for International Development. She was replaced by acting Administrator John Barsa, who had run out of time for his more senior role under the Federal Vacancies Reform Act.
Neil Chatterjee, chairman of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and a former aide to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. He was replaced as chairman, though he will remain at FERC, an independent agency, as a commissioner.
The firings were overshadowed by the prolonged drama of the presidential election.

He's going to make sure by hook or by crook that the election result gets to the Supreme Court. There's no evidence, so anything should get thrown out. However, he really couldn't care less about anything but himself, guess that he's a product of a wealthy upbringing, but without any class or self awareness. Show's how easy it still is for the establishment to fall for a narcissist in their desperation to cling to power.

He will have a team that are scrutinising every election result. He has just made sure he has the Supreme Court in this pocket with his new appointment so I expect the final result to be settled through the courts. I have a feeling it's not quite over yet.

No class?

Here's a list of just some of things he might try.

Pardons. It won't be surprising if Trump issues a bunch of new pardons before he leaves office. This could include pardons for people already convicted, like Michael Flynn and pre-emptive pardons for members of his family and administration. He could even try to issue a pre-emptive pardon for himself. Legal scholars are divided on whether he can do this but I wouldn't put it past him to try.

Firings. This has already started, as mentioned above by @zorro_mfc

Executive Orders. There are various things he could try to overturn this way. One that several analysts have warned about (and which he's tried already) is to overturn the DACA legislation. His previous attempt was only thrown out on a technicality which could easily be avoided second time round.

Yes, Biden could take action to reverse some of these after taking office but it's not a given that he would succeed. As the latest DACA ruling from the US Supreme Court showed, a new administration can not necessarily reverse an executive order from a previous one.
