foreign holidays - illegal from Monday 29th

The countries that have managed this the best are the ones that restricted travel. Allowing millions to freely travel around Europe this summer - many which wont be fully vaccinated just seems risky. We still have thousands if not millions on furlough due to the restrictions we currently face, ending this has to be the priority before we even think about mass travel for holidays again.

A 2 week holiday isnt really worth it when its likely going to contribute to a further lockdown

How they going to police that. Can't even run track and trace in this country or adequately monitor people coming through airports.

Spanish Flu killed an awful lot of people before it weakened sufficiently to live with it. Plus if I remember correctly it was the second wave which was more deadly due to a variant of the virus.
 
Going abroad isn't the problem it's coming back. The only reason they seem to be doing this N Korean style control of people (except the good and the great ) is because UK has no checks/tests on arrival and no effective monitoring of quarantine measures and a ineffective track and trace

Agree with what you say about UK having no checks/tests on arrival and no effective monitoring of quarantine measures and a ineffective track and trace so as I said earlier can't see how it will be policed. Just more lip service for me. Think they ca tell us anything and we will believe it
