For me, an excellent debut from Clarke

He just seemed to be in control, either taking the ball out to play off to someone, or his defensive duties, he just seemed so confident, the tackle midway through the 1st half was so well timed. Lenihen had a very good game too

Got MOTM on the radio, but for me I can't look past Howson, he was instrumental throughout the 1st half, his winning tackle in the midfield then laying it off for the build up to the 2nd goal was class, I sing his praises every week & as I've said, he just does the simple things easy, great professional, not forgetting the bit of skill in the second half when he controlled the ball, then chipped it over the Swanea players head, ran round him & started another move

Rodrigo Muniz must have been on the pitch seconds when slamming the ball against the post, would have been the quickest debut goal

Overall a cracking result, we made hard work of it in the end, but 3 points, our 1st win & hopefully the kick start we need

I’d agree with everything you say.
Clarke has just had a good a debut for as long as I can remember. Absolutely brilliant. Makes dreaming and clearing so much easier compared to a right footer in the same position.

Howson. I say it regularly. Rolls Royce. Week in, week out.

Brought composure and balance to the defence I thought. Everyone played well though.

He was excellent today and looked very comfortable with both feet, which is another positive. I’m excited to see what he’s capable of when fully fit and integrated into our way of playing.

Excellent debut from Clarke. Sign another top striker and 2 quality midfielders and we'll look in excellent shape.

I thought it a tough call between Clarke and Howson, but I gave it to Clarke given he has played next to no football of late, tackled well, was composed under pressure, his distribution was generally decent but hoofed it where necessary. His overlapping was well constructed and effective leading to a goal. What’s not to like, he will only get better with training, bonding and game time too I’d think. 9/10 from me.

It was clear that the tactics employed by Wilder were to counter Swansea’s style of play. We sat back, a little too deep at times to make it hard for Swansea to create openings, but broke effectively when opportunities arose, especially first half and Clarke was involved at both ends and should be chuffed with that debut performance.

He looked like he read the game well, I noticed him come across to the right to sweep up through balls into our box on 2 or 3 occasions.(y)

He looks comfortable going forward and played a huge part in the second goal! He looks the business. A couple more signings this week - three if I’m being greedy and I think wilder has all the tools at his disposal - it’s down to him after that!
