Football - A long read on why it matters

Good read that Decent_Left. Thanks for posting. If we can continue with the changes in governance and fans led reviews then we may be able to slow down the eradication of our "Terraces and family football". (y) . I still feel we will end up with a "Similar but not the same" type of league format in years to come but as long as it is an open competition with Promotion and Relegation we can at least dream about getting there.

I agree. The proposed changes to the CL for clubs that fail to qualify means a bit of the ESethos has already seeped into the future.

of all people John Barnes nailed it as a battle between billionaires which one lot of billionaires lost & we are supposed to be grateful to the other billionaires. Nah.

let’s see what the Tracey Crouch enquiry comes up with at least for English Football.
