I think this is a very good (and heartwarming) article on how they both come to be at Boro. The two managers at Tooting and Mitcham are sound blokes.

That’s not a bad shout it’s hard to see what would motivate Britt, giving him the captaincy clearly hasn’t worked, shaming him by putting youngsters ahead of him is worth a try. I will be interested to see where he goes next and how well he does.

Once he leaves Boro - like any player - he's of little interest to me

He'll no doubt be exactly the same as sadly, he just doesn't care 👎👎

One thing's for sure though, he'd better enjoy these last few months of massive wages as he'll be lucky to get offered half of them wherever he ends up after us.

Even if they don't make it, this is good to see Boro going to where the emerging talent is and forging links. There is no more shoutng down a colliery in the NE for young players. There is a lot of talk about the squad being too thin, but it has been a blessing in disguise for attracting these players. You can offer them Championship football as soon as they're good enough . Where would they be if they joined Chelsea's 'stables'?
 
Thanks for posting, when you read stuff like this it reassures me that we will be ok going forward, the club is doing the right things and eventually it will pay off.
 
The London area is becoming a key area for new talent. The connection with Tooting & Mitcham would be useful - A friendly at their ground next Summer might be useful to all parties.

I remember reading an article in the Guardian a couple of years ago predicting that the majority of the England team would have their origins in the London leagues.
