Not my understanding. I thought we were facilitating sponsorship of a player by FMTTM.

Yes of course, that will be reflected in any media stuff that we may happen to do.

Agreed but unless I've misunderstood RedWurzel's post (apologies if I have) then anything with sponsorship details on will just say FMTTM not "x number of members" of the FMTTM board?
 
Oh , sorry , I'm reading all of this whilst I'm trying to do work as well. I probably misunderstood his point was about the actual sponsorship wording on the programme? If that is correct then Rob can answer that because Rob is sending them the logo and we have I think, 20 words to write what we want to.
With regards to any media stuff we have contacted various media outlets and we are hoping that some of you who contributed will be willing to be interviewed on the matter explaining why you did it and what it means to you Etc
 
This is what I sent as the 20 words..
"Fmttmboro is a very active message board community forged from the long running Boro fanzine Fly Me To The Moon"
Then the idea would be that we send out a press release with quotes from various users about why they sponsored etc.

It's the Brexit argument that a lot of people put forward. They don't like the result so we have have another one to get the one they wanted.

I voted Wing.....then immediately caveated that I would prefer to wait until the end of the transfer window, as Browne would have been my choice if he is staying. Have we now settled on wing?!
 
Yes, Lewis Wing has been sponsored.
The whole picture could change at any time.for any of the players.

Has anyone not associated with the board donated to the fund? If so how do we involve them in having a say in what we do or any draws we agree to do.

On the subject of draws - I would prefer that we just open up and have an auction amongst the board for both shirts and raise more money for the foundation. That's just my opinion, I'm not sure how we agree on what we do but that would be my preference.
 
I thought it might be tricky in a digital text communication format to get the tone right of my message. I was not being critical of anyone or any organisation. And I knew, we all knew the background to the fee and donation, that it was from a group of individual members (ordinary members of the General Public who happen to be keen Boro fans) not an organisation/business etc who may have commercial reasons for giving/paying such as PR. I am so pleased the group have helped MFC and one of its causes and again for posters like BB and others who have come up with the idea, and has put in the work and been so enthusiastic and of course Rob Nicholls for helping out.

UTB and come on Lewis Wing, you now really have the Red Army behind you.

I have an email from gofund me, with messages from BB and Rob regarding what the motivation was for sponsorship, quotes being used by the club. It suggests emailing the club with our personal motivations for doing such a thing. I must admit I would feel a bit of a doyle sending an unsolicited email to the club. I would just say, in a little way I wanted to give something to the club and feel chuffed that we have managed to more than meet our goal, with the excess going to the foundation. As a local lad I hope Wingy can force his way into the team, but it never mattered to me who we sponsored. That said, get your finger out Lewis. The fact we were able to sponsor someone was what counted. I think the foundation will utilise the money well. There are so many issues on Teesside, a lot of which MFC foundation tries to address. I am sure they will use it well.

I don't think I said to email the club directly. If I did, that was an error. I meant for you to let us know your thoughts and I thought I said that Rob would collate them?
