Well I'd argue that we already have made the final choice but tbh I'm not that bothered who we sponsor but the principal of it bothers me.

Upto you, do what ever you feel is the right thing to do.

As I said, I just asked what people thought. Personally I would like a player who has a good chance of playing but some like the local connection.
I asked if wing could be reserved last week and he was. After the last few games I don't see the harm in asking people again , but people may disagree and that's fine too.

I am, I'm asking if people want to stay the same or if have a last vote ( depending upon which players are left).
 
I’d probably go Bola now as well (and I originally voted Wing) but I also get the point that we did all vote and have to stick with it at some point.

You could make that argument about most stuff, I don't get your point?
Sure it's not the most important topic, but then nor is football. It's a harmless diversion from the more pressing topics which we are all dealing with in various ways.
 
The thing is.... someone people say they want to change their mind, which is fine - whatever

BUT what happens if we went for Bola and he is injured for 6 months (although unlikely), you could argue any player might get injured or lack of game time

Of course, some just asked so it's only fair to 'put it out there'.
 
My point is that you're getting hung up on details and seem to be losing sight of the original purpose of the exercise. And yes I get it... these are challenging times around the world.

I fully understand what the orginal purpose was - a connection and bit of fun.

I propose we don't sponsor a player now and just give it all to the MFC foundation.

Was that a question that may have been asked?

Can we have another vote on that now?
 
I presumed the whole point of sponsoring a player was promoting the forum to a wider audience.
That's not going to happen if the player we sponsor isn't even making the matchday squad.

I certainly didn't take part solely to give the money to charity, so I think not picking a player at all is just ridiculous.

I agree entirely but if we're answering hypothetical questions now and are to have a second vote despite a clear cut winner in the first vote it's all ridiculous!

Promotion of the forum will be the same regardless wether its Wing or Bola and if either plays or not.

When did anyone last hear players sponsor get mentioned anywhere?
 
I would think there is little to no point in sponsoring a player that won’t be playing. The idea of using the FMTTM name rather than a charity was to give the forum a little expose, was it not?
Granted that any player picked could get injured and therefore no exposure, but surely you have to give yourself a fighting chance and at least pick a player that is likely to get game time.

I vote for a revote

In the program, I think, so it really doesn't matter if he's playing or not.

The sponsor is mentioned whenever a player is substituted on or off, so it does matter whether they're playing or not.
