FMTTM Ladies & others?

Awh cheers.
No worries, ta for the info on West Raynham. Thought I’d spelt that wrong. Well I was only 6 months old, what do ya expect, lol.😁

Wow, you’ve gone home.😎
Mind me asking……
Happy move? Much changed?
x
Lots changed and not a lot for the good, but it's where the heart is. Luckily made enough on the move to semi retire. Brought the wife from Nottingham and TBF she is loving the area and the people. Still in touch with a few old school mates which is great and getting to see the Boro more often than not.

So in the main, mostly positive & life is good.
Important for you both to be happy and it deffo sounds like yous are. Chuffed for ya.😎
The old adage “Home is where the heart is” and yours is deffo in Boro.👍🏻
Continue enjoying your semi-retirement, renewing old friendships & watching the Boro to your heart’s content ok Norfolkred1.👌🏻👌🏻

Thanks Carmen. You take care of yourself and don't forget you are always welcome on this board. You are an inspiration to all and long may it continue xx

Hey-up gal,
You must be shattered. Mind me asking what you do?
Off somewhere sunny or chillaxing/pottering?
Either way, it’s a break innit and it sounds like you need & deserve it Legz.👍🏻
x
Just a week off with kids being off school, let me daughter bleed me dry all week 🤣🤣🤣. Tbf I can't wait. I'm a client care coordinator in a vets....basically posh term for receptionist!! What about urself??

Not sharing my previous username! Why? Because it came under scrutiny from Gibbo himself. Let’s just say my forthright views didn’t receive his approval! Come to think of it, I irritate a few on here!!
Sounds both interesting & intriguing Nosmo-King, do tell more if you can?
x

Unravel: Re what you said about borobarmy……
OMG!! Noooo!! I’m really shocked!!
😥😪
He was a fit fireman wasn’t he. Still fairly young too.
Hope you don’t mind me asking, what did he die from?
x
Please please could Unravel or someone else answer my question please??
Has fair upset me that. He was a lovely fella.

Oooh Legz, envious - I’d have loved to have done that. Mind you, think I’d have quickly gotten sacked tho, cos I’d be forever petting & fussing all the animals that came in thro the door.😁😎 Do you??

As for me - I’ve had to take early retirement due to my ill health. However, I was a Financial Consultant, for the same company for 18 years. It was stressful, yet rewarding & paid well cos I was successful. 👌🏻
Get this, I used to work my Saturday mornings round DCFC matches……
So if we were at home, I’d work from 8.30am until 12noon, then drive home, change from suit into footy top and be in the pub with my friends/partner by 1pm.
And if we were away from home, I’d book the Saturday morning off work completely.
I used to cross those days off in my work diary as soon as the fixture list came out then the girls couldn’t book any appts in. Spent those days travelling all over the country following my beloved Rams!😎
Lived for my Saturdays!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Do you have to work Saturdays Legz?

Only 1 in 4 and that's only 9 til 12 😁😁😁. I got made redundant last June after 25 years working in the same shop. Miss my work mates but not the place....retail is *****, started as part time while at uni and became a supervisor so never left.
I've always read your posts, especially your health updates, I hope all is as well as it can be for you.
As for fussing over the animals, every day!! Not the cats tbf as I'm not a massive fan, dog girl all the way, however I have upgraded to popping into the cattery when they're in for surgery for a little consoling stroke through the bars lol.
Just need to get back into the match day habit now. Never missed one when younger but kids, time, money needed for more important things have got in the way over time (as u guess, retail wages aren't amazing, supervisior or not) but I'm at that point where I'm a bit freer from all them constraints

Hey Norfolkred1,
Where you living now?

You might be able to answer a coupla questions for me if you dunna mind please…….
As you know I’m Norfolk born - is there still an operational RAF base called West Rainham (sp?) or has it but the dust?
Also does the following church still exist - St Anthony of Padua in Fakenham?
x

As I know Blondie, you are not only Norfolk born, but Kings Lynn born. I can tell you that the Queen Elizabeth Hospital is still there, although these days it is kept up with over 200 props holding the roof up. I on the other hand no longer work there having retired over 10 years ago.
However, as a good Catholic boy, I can tell you that St Anthony of Padua church is still open in Fakenham.

Take care.

Where’s all the ladies off here gone to??
I remember:…….

Boro Reidy
Wooly back
FW_2
Curly
DerbyRedette
Lady from Burton - sorry can remember real name but not username
Lady from York - ditto
**Apologies for anyone I’ve missed**

There’s a huge amount of folk on here that I’d probably know under their former usernames, some of them have very kindly let me know their new usernames - (Thankyou to socae, Scrote, Joe “broom cupboard”Laidlaw).
It’s great to be able to connect the old with the new in my head 😎

Names that immediately spring to mind are:

Relfy & his buddies - sorry can’t remember names
Comfy shoes
Ayresome Avenger
Borobarmy
Bandito
The fella from The Toon
**Am sure there’s more, thing is I can picture people in my head but can’t remember usernames at all. Sorreee.**

Sooooo, I’ve been thinking - how’s about having a Blondz Amnesty Day??
You know, but instead of handing in guns, you tell me what your former username was.
Some of you probably won’t want to, fairy snuff, understand, but if yous can help me out please, it’d be great, thankyou……..👍🏻
You wouldn't remember my username back in the days of Lisbonlegend, Grantus Onthemap etc
The problem was, I couldn't even remember my own username/s or log in details whenever I wanted to post something.
I could never remember if I was Ozboro Ausboro or Boroinoz. 🤣 So was mainly an avid reader.
( yes I'm an oldie, who needless to say,was not very good with new technology o_O.)

When joining this new board, I thought to myself " I have to find something that is impossible to forget."
My footy team plays in red and the Boro are in my blood. Bingo, redblood. 🤣 .
I know, not very imaginative but hey ho, so far, I haven't forgotten it, Yet. (y)

I would prefer to be known as Ozboro, Ausboro or Boroinoz or whatever the hell I was.
I wouldn't have to start most of my posts with " Here in Oz " or " I live in Oz" etc :D
Take care and best wishes from Oz.
Oops there I go again 🤣

Hiya Norfolkngood,
Fab to speak to you again.😎
Thanks for the info on the QE Hospital. That’s a real shame. I guess it was showing it’s age and services needed to move on for progress sake? 😗
Yey! 10 years eh. Congrats on your retirement luvvie.🥳 Enjoying life?
Get to see your Boro much?

Thanx ever so for the info on St Anthony’s too.😎
Been saying for donkeys that must go over Kings Lynn and Fakenham way for a short break and see the Church etc. The nearest have ever got so far is Wroxham at the start of a Broads holiday plus numerous times at Carrow Road way back. Really should make time to do it. Somewhere else always to come up.
Do tell me, how far is Fakenham from Kings Lynn?
x

I think I remember Lisbonlegend, Altho not 100% tbh.
How many years ago did you join FMTTM redblood?
Also how long have you lived in Australia?

😁🤣 Laughing at problems remembering your username.
Funnily enough, have had similar problems a few times over the years too.

I think I started off as “blondie_dcfc”, which lasted a long long time.

When I lost all my hair due to chemo treatment, I was tempted to come back as BaldyDCFC. But I changed my mind, thankfully.🤣

Then couldn’t remember usernames so I think I had some like these for very short periods of time. Altho I couldn’t deffo swear to it.
“BlondieDCFC”
“blondie.dcfc”
“DCFCblondz”

Think Rob had to sort me out a coupla times with being reminded of username.
Another time, I only wanted to post a health update I think, didn’t have much time to try to remember or contact Rob to sort - I noticed Curly was online so rather than spend time faffing around, she kindly posted the update for me.

Now I’ve got “BlondzDCFC”.
(Just had to double-check before clicking to post this msg. Flamin Nora!)

‘Fraid I’ve also broken t’internet rules which say you shouldn’t have anything written down. But I’ve had to, cos I don’t want to forget username ever again.🤣
Oh well.😁

Geez, Carmen, I can't even remember what I did on friday or my login/ usernames and you ask how long ago did I join? :ROFLMAO:
The closest I could get to that answer is " a bl**dy long time ago. 🤣

Lived in Oz twice. First time my family emigrated was back in Dec62 when I had just turned eight as ten pound poms.
Returned to England three years later as my parents didn't settle and missed their family too much.
After returning it wasn't long before my parents thought " Oh my god what have we done?"
They tried to get back one the ten pound scheme but were refused so we immigrated to the USA.
Once again they didn't settle although it was the death of a grandparent that ensured our return.

I had just turned fifteen in 69 when the Oz government decided that we could return.
My dad never settled but the rest of my family did and he returned to England alone.
I have been here since.

Well, you didn't answer my perfectly reasonable questions but I know that you're one of the good 'uns on here so I'll forgive you for that. I'm similar to you mate. I did have another username a few decades ago but I rarely posted and I forgot it and then I became bumface. I'd always been bumfaced really. I just didn't have the courage to admit to that on a public forum in my younger days. There was a lot of prejudice around. My people were being persecuted. It's slightly better now.

I've had the same username for years although I did apply to change it recently to Sloppy_John but unfortunately it wasn't approved by admin.
Thanks 👍

I'm pretty sure that I was all of the names that I mentioned.
I used to get frustrated that I couldn't log in or if my computer had crashed for some strange reason ;) I found that I would have to rejoin.
That didn't solve my problem though as the next time I wanted to post, i found I was back to square one.
Sometimes I fluked it by inserting different pins or usernames sometimes even my bank pin numbers.
Once again though, the next time I tried I couldn't remember how I fluked it and on and on it went.
Until, finally, the existence of this new forum and my simple to remember new username. (y)
