First confirmed Middlesbrough pre-season friendlies

Morecambe, love it. Everyone in the Hurley Flyer (y)

I wanna see a couple against local sides, even if we just send XI's full of kids or trialists.

First is away Bishop Auckland on Saturday 25th of June at 1pm.

Then off to Portugal.

Then a friendly against Morecambe on Tuesday 19th July at 7pm.

More to be confirmed.
Maybe just one more at home as the season starts on the 30th

I reckon they will play two in Portugal. Or two games of 2 30 minute halves.

Wouldn't surprise me, Sheffield United's pre-seasons had training camps in Spain and Portugal where they presumably played matches but no results are recorded (that I could find in a quick search), so they could have been quick training games.

I hope the potential friendly at the Riverside is against a foreign club.
Similar to 2013 maybe..

11/07: Farense (Lagos, Portugal) W 1-0
17/07: Morecambe (a) W 2-0
20/07: Hartlepool (a) D 0-0
23/07: Rotherham (a) W 3-2
27/07: Bordeaux (h) W 2-1

Nobby is going to be upset, the Morecambe game clashes with Warnock's summer BBQ. :giggle:

Boro's new free signing Cole Stockton to say goodbye to the Morecambe fans after scoring 26 goals last season to keep them up.
( Could do a lot worse than him ) Only my thoughts not inside info, I would rather take a punt on him at age 28 than 33 year old Rhodes or Gregory.
We could even give them Coburn or Wood on loan as a sweetener .
