Finally a Brexit Benefit

Example given on GMB this morning about wanting to employ top bankers in the US on mega bucks but they can't come to the UK to work because of the cap. Never mentioned that they probably will have non dom status and not pay much tax at all. It's all a con.
 
The whole attracting top talent argument is absolute cobblers.

If they can earn more in the USA or anywhere then bloody well sod off and work there.

We have to restrict the outrageously obscene earnings of bankers and executives. Plenty of people willing and perfectly able to do their jobs for considerably less, but still very very considerable, earnings.

Businesses are under obligation to maximise their profits for the benefit of shareholders if they feel that paying Obscene remuneration packages to attract or hold onto their employees then surely that is up to them. the issue with bankers was purely because at the time said bankers were paid vast amounts, contributed to the Finacial crash of 2008 and then had to be bailed out by the Labour government. Banks now have different regulations from 2008 and so if their business model allows them to pay vast amounts to there employees then wouldn't that be up to them?

It definitely should be up to any business what it pays its employees. Within, and this is the key thing, legaly defined limits.

Let's not try and pretend bankers are in any way special, there are thousands of people who could step into their roles and be up to speed in a few weeks.
