Just to let you know we are busy selling a car. I will try to post my choices after I get home. Hopefully by 12:00 your time. junos_boots. Please do not send me the Mustoe answers early. Ta.
A legend indeed coluka1. Watford 07/03/95 An absolute pile driver, cutting in from the left to unleash an unstoppable shot from distance, high into the top right corner. Not even The Great Gordon Banks would have got near it. Undoubtedly his most spectacular goal in a Boro shirt (for me)
2. Derby 01/04/02 - This goal to me epitomised Robbies never say die, controlled, aggressIve displays week in week out, chased lost causes down, as he did here blocked the clearance with nothing on to suddenly win possession and in a flash place and smash the ball past the keeper to ensure another super away day for the Boro in Derby. Robbie was always one of the first names on the teamsheet, Mr 100%, A bargain signing, a true club legend for me, underrated by many in the game and on the terraces at times.
3. Newcastle 01/01/99. Typical Robbie goal. Receives the ball deep makes a run forward plays the ball to Armstrong, Robbie carries on his run toward the box, Armstrong plays it back, still lots to do, dinks it past the defender, evades the tackle and slams the ball past the keeper to put us one up at the time at Sid James. This was his trademark. He had a superb game that day and was instrumental in us getting a valuable point that day. Players like Robbie are unsung heroes. In the role he played, only Souness and arguably Boateng were better, I loved the Boat, but Robbies edges 2nd spot. If he was at a more fashionable club he would have had international caps imho, especially when players like Seth Johnson and David Dunn managed to get capped.
Mustoe will always be a legend in my eyes
I wasn't suggesting Rav should get any abuse off the fans. I was just asking how Beck will get on with him after their season together - it was a bit of a cheesy comment. If he comes back to play, or even appear, at Mikkel Becks charity game he, along with a few others, should get a very big round of applause
Sorry Juno, this was about Robbie Mustoe.I wasn't suggesting Rav should get any abuse off the fans. I was just asking how Beck will get on with him after their season together - it was a bit of a cheesy comment.
I agree any player who appears or gives up time to appear in this game should be warmly greeted by everyone.
Hi, A favour please......Oky doky here we go.
1st Swindon - as an ex Oxford kad that would have made his day. Lovely chest down, dribble and shot.
2nd. I'll go Watford away. Driilred it
3rd. Wimbledon goal. I know it won't win, but any sentence that has stamp and delightful in there has to be in for novelty value
Think roger Thames sums it up - what a reward for an afternoon's work.
