Fights on Brighton seafront and Cornwall condemns "ignorant tourists" for openly flouting covid-19 rules: Mail Online

Remember there must be 100,000 people who do behave and a 100 who don't ,the press like to focus on the 100 for the entertainment of the 100,000.

You are the ones who read the papers !

Let's not forget that Cooper's rock star PM told the MP for Brighton to man up when he asked about enforcing social distancing and decent hygiene at the last bank holiday. He also told the electorate to go out and enjoy the sunshine, so yes the blame for the debacle at the weekend lies firmly at the governments feet.

Johnson give's the people what they want, and they love him for it.

The man is a moron and he surrounds himself with ministers of the same ilk. Messaging has to be aimed at the lowest common denominator, and that is exactly what Johnson did, appeal to the other morons in society.

Make no mistake, it is the governments fault.

The bumbling Tom Brown "Flashman" typifies an ideology which puts the "me" at the centre of everything.
His class.
His Eton mates.
The House of Lords boys club.
The City boys of Threadneedle Street
Global paymasters.
Political lobbyists.
Anti-democratic reactionary forces
and tyrannies hiding in the shadows.

He may be an idiot.
But behind him are unelected unaccountable forces driving him forward.
He is a glove puppet.
We shouldnt forget - its not about him but what and whom he represents.

Roofie whilst it was a bit of a rant, there were definitely some real nuggets of truth. The point around leadership and how that effects how people will behave I thought was pertinent to this thread.

Glad you posted it (y)
John Ashton has been making those video blogs [Im sure you are aware] since lockdown.
I dont blame him for saying his piece.

You are spot on about leadership:

It has to be by example from the front.
Accountable.
transparent.
Trusted

Hes right about the long term consequences for all of our lives.....well beyond dealing with the virus.

At least he doesnt prevaricate and dither like the elected Government.
