Fenerbahce

They'll be trying to pressure concessions from the Turkish league over the fighting last week, absolutely no chance they join another league.

Play in Germany, they would have massive support amongst the Turkish Diaspora, they might even end up threatening Bayern Munich long term dominance, the biggest problem after UEFA and German FA clearance would be which stadium do they play.

I think I recall a proposal for a league between the biggest clubs from the low countries, Scotland and Scandinavia a few years back. Big clubs who had seen their stock fall due to playing in small leagues.

I don't think UEFA blew the whistle on it; there just wasn't the enthusiasm for Rangers vs Gothenberg on a regular basis.

Maybe Fenerbache envisage something similar in SE Europe, but I think it would inevitably have to involve Greek clubs in that part of the world. Don't think the local police would care much for that.

Budapest
Bucharest
Zagreb
Belgrade
Athens
Sofia

Could probably form a decent league to be fair.

It was The Atlantic League, about 20 yrs ago.
Celtic & Rangers eventually dropped out to concentrate on getting into the English leagues.
When Vincent Kompany was Anderlecht manager a couple of yrs ago he was keen on resurrecting a similar idea.

Distance wouldn't be an issue. Hatayspor in the Turkish league are 1,100km from Istanbul...

Which is further than Bucharest, Sofia, Belgrade.
Same distance as Athens.
