Farage sacked

Bristol City Council said it needed to be removed from the water because the city had a "working harbour".
The statue will be taken to a secure location to be hosed down before becoming a museum exhibit.

Hope that Farage enjoys the same fate

Off to be Trumps warm up man on the campaign trail. Big earner for him. Certainly more than a radio show

they just need to get shot of nick Ferrari and rees mogg now , in other news i see a tory has landed the DG job at the bbc

Hate to say this but he hasn't been sacked. There's quite a distinct difference between not having a contract renewed and having it terminated. Sadly.

yep, they dont have to pay severance, if his contract was longer he would have been sacked, fell nice for them, they can please those wanting a racist removed and appease his followers by saying ge wasnt pushed

Yup good timing. Happened to the beeb with Clarkson as well. For physical violence rather than racism but still.

It's very easy to stick someone with the racist label. In fact it's become a popular insult.

When I was a lad there used to be statues of Bolckow and Vaughan in I think Victoria Square.I bet they would be labelled with that popular tag these days and someone would be thinking of propelling them into the Tees.

Mercedes were sponsors of show and there is a narrative that perhaps unsurprisingly they decided his views weren't "brand compatible".

Stan Collymore, among others including I think had been assured by Mercedes would not run any further advertising in his show. Consumerism done for him...

Are you on the right thread here? In the context of this thread you seem to be suggesting Farage ISN'T racist?

Why would they be? Were they in Victoria Square or weren't they? Did you just pick two famous Victorians from Middlesbrough at random? Both made their money in industry and had (for their time) pretty decent records in caring for their workers.

Mrs Farage just tweeted

'Nigel has just come home with a multi-pack of lavatory paper, a box of tea bags, a packet of biros, three staplers and a potted plant. Can anyone tell me what is going on?'
