1885 - Boro 2 Gainsborough Trinity 1 FAC2 nd round

1903 - The 1st time we played on this day as a league club, Joseph Beckett became the 5th different Boro penalty goalscorer when he converted our 1st ever penalty at Ayresome Park, our debut season at the famous ground, when he netted the winner against Aston Villa in a 2-1 win, in a 1st division fixture, it was the 7th home penalty we scored & 12th overall since becoming a league club in 1899

1959 - Brian Clough scored his 7th (out of 11) Boro hat trick in a 5-1 home win over Bristol Rovers in a second division fixture, Cloughy became the 32nd different Boro player to score 3 goals for the Boro in a competitive game, it was the 69th at Ayresome Park & our 91st in total

1962 - England 4 Wales 0 Webley - Alan Peacock England (scored 2) v Mel Nurse (Wales)

1981 - Tony McAndrew became the 47th different penalty goalscorer when he scored our 178th home penalty in a 3-3 home draw with Aston Villa

1989 - Alan Kernaghan scored his one & only Boro 1st team hat trick when the Boro won 4-2 at Blackburn Rovers, he became the 46th different HT goalscorer, our 31st away HT & 123rd in total

1993 - Boro 0 Bolton 1 the last time we played on this day while at Ayresome Park, attendance 6,828

1995 - Boro 0 Spurs 1 our 1st ever defeat at the Riverside Stadium

1998 - Boro 2 Coventry 0 with goals from Dean Gordon & Hamilton Ricard for our 1st win on this day at the Riverside

2020 - Marcus Tavernier became the 1st Boro player to score a penalty at home to Norwich City then ruled out by the referee due to the two footed kick

28th November 1938 was the 1st Boro after your dad was born with Norman Higham scoring our goal in a 1-1 at home to Arsenal

An easy one, who did we play in our last game at ap? Me and my dad went but I don't remember a thing about it.

Odd that I remember nothing of the game. I do remember my mum and sister queuing round the block for tickets for us.

I am sure we both did Erimus. My dad would have moaned all the way through the game, he did that every game. The only time I have seen him go wild with celebrations is when we beat man city 8-1 was it

We once had a family gathering and the men folk were in the back room watching a boro game whilst the women were in the kitchen drinking baileys. My dad berrated fjortoft through the entire game. He scored and my dad turned to me, straight faced and said "I Told ya, give him the ball and he'll score". WTF dad!
