Fans not able to get entry to the match tonight

Did anybody else see a number of Boro fans get their tickets rejected by the automatic turnstiles tonight?

There was at least 8-10 people in the 5 minutes I was going in. Was a very mixed group too, older and younger, male and female. One lad kicked the fencing in frustration but I couldn't make out what was going on

I saw one fan scan his ticket then half-heartedly push the turnstile then stop. The ratchet clicked in and when he realised he couldn't squeeze into the gap he had left himself he went back out to remonstrate to the steward about his "dodgy ticket". It amused me more than it should have, really.

Did they eventually get in? Was it a case of dodgy tickets or was it a scanner issue?
To be honest Rob at that point, I just wanted to get inside to avoid any hassle myself as I had my young lad with me.

The couple who were speaking near where I was, said that their tickets were sent from the club and were rejected on the scanner. The steward suggested the tickets were either dodgy or that the club had cancelled them and then sent them away.

I could understand that might be the case with some of the young lads who had been drinking and frankly looked a bit ***ed. But as the number grew a bit larger and I saw some of those affected were couples who must have been in their 60s, I thought it unlikely.

Given I've not heard anything elsewhere, perhaps it was remedied.
