Fancy Josh Kelly on points tomorrow night, sparred with him years ago.

He's fighting for the European title. Had a run around with him a long time ago but I think he's more or less the same fighter. He has good reflexes and quick hands but he's in love with both of those things. I was a few weight classes above him so it was quite interesting. In the ring, I noticed his footwork was sloppy when he was coming forward. I thought I'll let him come at me and start taking half shots off him. Anyway, he took the bait and walked straight onto one of mine. I didn't half straighten him out.

If his team have any sense he'll be under orders to box long tomorrow and he'll win easy on points. If he starts looking for his opponent he could get in trouble. Don't get me wrong gents, he can move but I suspect that he can't keep opponents honest when he's trying to land moving forward. We'll see what happens but I think he'll take it on points.

I sparred with Tyson, Marciano and Barry Chuckle. Put all of them on their backsides, all of them admired my good hands.

When you say a long time ago was that about 15 years ago, Josh Kelly is 26 years young!!! Hehe - you weren’t beating up kids were you?

on the fight itself I just find Josh to be all style over substance and he lacks power crucially. He will beat a lot of guys with the attributes he has but I don’t think he will ever become a world champion. i think he may come unstuck tonight.

If he does retire without a title I guess he can say he’s shared the ring with some of the best, even if that ring was at Hylton Castle Youth Club!

Shame you ran off from the kids outside Ingleby Tesco.

Are quick hands good hands, that's the question 👊

Oh Expo you do lighten the mood with your fairy stories- a modern Hans Christian Andersen!!! Keep it going, Expo , we need a chuckle in these depressing days.

He's 27 so it might have been around 8 years ago. It was in Sheffield at a place that mainly concentrated on strength and conditioning.

Just to note, those who don't know much about boxing might not understand. You can get club fighters troubling top class pros in sparring. But my skillset will have been much superior to that. I had my balance and footwork measured in relation to my height and weight and the data coming out blew the computer up. Although I still use boxing drills for fitness I didn't pursue the sport because of a potential shoulder problem.

How the sky commentators are saying Kelly won the first three rounds is beyond me - the better heavier shots cane from the winner. Still talking up his skills. Out of his depth - Adam booth new that two years ago when he pulled him out the night before. Two years later he’s still no better.
