Fabricant removes any trace of Conservative party in his Twitter bio

Socially liberal MP

Generally voted for a stricter asylum system
Almost always voted for stronger enforcement of immigration rules
Consistently voted for mass surveillance of people’s communications and activities
Almost always voted for higher taxes on alcoholic drinks
Consistently voted for higher taxes on plane tickets
Almost always voted for more restrictive regulation of trade union activity
Almost always voted against a lower voting age
Consistently voted for allowing national security sensitive evidence to be put before courts in secret sessions
Generally voted against laws to promote equality and human rights

But he’s been one of the worst of the buggers. At least economically. Mind you, so were the Lib Dems in government and plenty have let them off because they supported gay marriage so maybe he’s golden.

Maybes socially liberal means he goes dogging and stuff.

Get a virtual daily hand delivered leaflet from Tories in recent weeks. One recent one had a massive 38 per cent saying how much Labour have supposedly put council tax up by. But the tiniest word Conservative right at the bottom to say who the leaflet was from
They are clearly not wanting their party name to be clear and obvious 😡

Surely as public servants and in govt to boot they must have an obligation to state what party they represent on any official or public documents. They are not independents they are Conservative MPs the more I think about this the more sinister it all is.

Of course it's sinister and underhand. Quite a few Tory MPs have done the same, couple this with the Green election pamphlets......

They are fearing being total wiped out and therefore having their gravy train well and truly derailed.

Let's face it, 99% of Tories would sell their own grandmothers to further themselves/make money. The 1% probably already have.

It must be illegal though surely or in breach some code of parliamentary ethics as it’s false representation surely which ironically IS election fraud.

I think we've learnt the tories don't really give too much truck to ethics.

Thing is, it will work. We've seen from brexit that enough people can be conned. The heavy leaflet dropping will definitely have people thinking "Well, labour didn't engage" and the hiding "conservative will definitely make people more receptive. It's horrible

Probably is - or it's bending the rules in knots.

But we know they do what they want with no repercussions. Break the ministerial code - pfffft. Mislead parliament - meh. Spread lies and gaslight on an industrial scale - whatcha gonna do???

Inflation over that period was about 25% when I checked so Stockton council done well really given the budget cuts etc

Matt Vickers only mentions conservative on his Twitter bio because, somehow he’s got a plumb job as deputy chair man, alongside 30p lee…

his little video clips are embarrassing tho, the way he ends with a cheesy thumbs up 👍 like he’s trying to make a catch phrase for himself…
