The problem is if you do it for one, you have to do it for all. When a team is 1-0 down and in desperate need of a goal having used all their subs, what’s to stop a defender pretending he’s injured or has cramp and has to go off? At which point on comes another striker.Player welfare - Surely that's got to come into play. They hadn't used all their subs and still had one left, would it have hurt to change him?
It feels a bit harsh because the Plymouth player did seem to be injured, but you have to have the rules in place imo.
