Player welfare - Surely that's got to come into play. They hadn't used all their subs and still had one left, would it have hurt to change him?
The problem is if you do it for one, you have to do it for all. When a team is 1-0 down and in desperate need of a goal having used all their subs, what’s to stop a defender pretending he’s injured or has cramp and has to go off? At which point on comes another striker.

It feels a bit harsh because the Plymouth player did seem to be injured, but you have to have the rules in place imo.

Plymouth hadn't used all their subs and had one available, they had used their three windows to make subs.

You know what I mean. And Plymouth know the rules. They didn’t have a sub left because they’d used all their windows, it’s the same thing.
Sorry, I see what you mean but it did read as if they didn't have a sub available.

I feel the rule is wrong and in cases like that, teams should be allowed an injury window.

Good result .Celebrating tackles and goal kicks a bit lame .
Commentators saying they're beating the best team in England .Best team in England were given the day off .
Kids and stiffs were terrible .
I don't like Liverpool BTW.

They had at least 6 players on at the end, Jota, Diaz, Kelleher, Tsimikas, Nunez, Elliot who’d be better than any player in their position in the championship, plus internationals like Chiesa and Quansah who’s had a senior England call up.
Liverpool were under strength but still an incredible result and performance by Plymouth.

I think we sort of agree tbh, the issue would be that there are some coaches who would look to abuse it. It would’ve been really interesting today if the Plymouth player had suffered a head injury instead of cramp though. Are concussion subs allowed in the FA Cup?

I was thinking maybe the players at Spurs are getting a bit of an easy ride with the majority of criticism being aimed at Ange or Levy. Goals like the one their keepers just let past him are nothing to do with the manager in my opinion.

Ange will probably be ok as long as they are still in Europe. I think the one they are in gets qualification for the Champions League if you win it?

I would love an English team to win a European trophy but I can't see this Spurs team winning anything.

People talk about us having a weak underbelly.

Here’s a mad stat. If Spurs go out here at Villa Park it would be the first time since the 1891-92 season that none of the North London Clubs, Merseyside Clubs or Chelsea have made it the last 16 of the FA Cup.
Just need rid of those Manchester clubs and we have a half interesting competition.
