F1, Friday morning.

Does Verstappen have an unusual style of driving? I think I remember reading something similar. The car is obviously designed for him and Lawson and Perez and others have struggled.

Get in there Lewis! Early days of course but looking promising for Hamilton and Ferrari.

I might start watching F1 again this year if it continues to be competitive and not heavily stacked in favour of the odious Red Bull team.

It will be a very long time before we see RB at the top again, think max dragged the third quickest car to the title last year but the gap to the front is probably too much this time around.
Lots of rumours he will leave RB for Merc at the end of this season, that would put RB right back into the midfield

Wonder how long it will be before Red Bull ditch Lawson?

These days it depends on sponsorship and the money a driver brings to a team sadly rather than ability, many drivers in the past have kept their seats due to this. I'm sure Williams had one

I'd say Adrian Newey was an even bigger loss with a new set of regs in the post.

Yes.

There is a reason why one after another good drivers in the 2nd RBR have failed.

It is still early days for Lawson, but from his onboard footage, it looked like he did not hit a single apex on his qualifying lap. RBR are not averse to kicking out drivers part way through the season. Perhaps Tsunoda would have been a better choice.

I am not sure that Lawson brings much sponsorship.

Yes. He likes the front end really "pointy". I. E. When you turn the wheel the nose turns in quickly and sharply. If you don't have insane reactions this makes the car very easy to overseer.

Albon explained it really well, basically the cars stay out pretty neutral but as the get developed Verstappen wants it more and more pointy. The more they tune it to has needs the faster he goes but the harder the car is to drive. So the other driver, already slightly off Maxs pace because of how quick he is, loses confidence in the car. So he gets slower and slower as Max gets faster and faster. It's a vicious circle. And of course RBR can't do anything about it because tuning the car to Max = more points

This is brilliant, anyone who has played Mario Kart will have seen "Ghost Mode" well here it is in F1...
Ah, looks like you'll have to watch it on YT (it is worth it)
