Depends what you mean by experiment? Take a chance and give amanager their first management job? It worked out well for Robson, McClaren & Karanka. What he needs to do is pick the right person at the right time? Southgate was a player that you expected to go on to management, he's clever and he speaks well but the job came far too soon for him. He needed time working alongside someone experienced first like McClaren and Karanka had. Woodgate never gave anyone the impression that he would make a good manager and he had only worked alongside Pulis who is hardly comparable to Ferguson or Mourinho. I wouldn't be against a rookie manager again in the future but I want someone with a bit about them, some intelligence and some working alongside/mentoring from a top manager.
