Exercise bike /turbo trainer

Any recommendations?

I'm looking to up my cardio over the winter. Was thinking something like kickr core with subscription to zwift. Ideally would like something cheaper or if there are cheaper alternatives to something like peloton that people can recommend. Ideally want to do classes /races to keep interest going etc.

Don't understand why people need all that ridiculously expensive peleton nonsense. Just get a decent exercise bike, plug your music in and do some miles. Think mine cost about £300 in 2020. Still going strong.

Genuine question - can you hook yours up to spin classes/zwift etc or does there have to be a "smart" element to the bike?

There are loads of options out there. Found that peloton thread which TLJ mentioned but just adds to the confusion 😂

Ideally the main piece of kit would be around £500 and then smallish monthly (£10-£15ish) for classes. Does this exist?

Ruling turbo trainer out as my wife wants to use it and my bike would be too big.

Because some people like to do more than just miles, they like to be part of live classes.

You may not, but some people do.
