Everton's Run in

Burnley win on Wednesday and it's game on.

Burnley still have Watford and Norwich to play too.

But an Everton win will probably see them safe.

If we don't go up this season then I wouldn't want Everton in the champo with us next season.

I think the bottom 3 are as bad as we were when we stunk the PL out last time so I think Everton probably beat Burnley and stay up.

You have to say Dyche has done an amazing job over the years. To keep that side up on a budget.

It's basically made up of decent championship players.

To think we had those promotion ding dongs with them. Yet they have stayed in the top flight. He has to be commended for that👏. You look at what Everton have spent compared to Burnley.

Suppose Burnley have experience of this situation which should count in their favour. They'll be up for the fight if nothing else.

Be fascinating to see what happens if Everton do go down, their wage bill must be unsustainable even with parachute payments. And I can't see clubs queuing up to take on some of those contracts either.

On the flip side I wouldn't mind seeing Dyche and Burnley go down. Fair enough you do what you have to survive, but they're a grim negative side aren't they? Not sure they'll be bouncing back so easily this time either. They've had years now of playing with that Tony Pulis type mindset. Grinding out results by boring the opposition to death isn't enough to get promoted, might be quite hard changing that mentality.

If they need anything last day of the season I am sure Frankie's mates from Chelski will oblige

I would hate to be a Burnley season ticker holder. Overpriced British footballers, playing a brand of Brexit/rugby football not seen since Pulis was in charge of Boro.

Is Burnley's football really that bad? I know they don't have big names but they certainly have one or two technical players like McNeil, Lennon etc...and Mee and Tarkowiski are accomplished defenders. Problem for them now is scoring goals with the loss of Wood, though the January signing looks ok. I imagine if they come down they'll be in the mix for promotion next year. If I was a Burnley fan I would be more than satisfied with Dyche, my only gripe would be that, like Warnock, he doesn't seem to take much interest in the cups!

it is horrific, been to watch Burnley when boro played them and when Burnley played Aberdeen. Also watch a few games on sky. A 2022 version of Wimbledon.

You can see a Pulis/Stoke scenario happening with Burnley, this season or next. At some point the fanbase will demand a different brand of football, more entertaining, more progressive giving them a chance of progressing from 15th-17th every year. As soon as they do this they will introduce significant risk to the club. Stoke did this and were relegated within 2 seasons and an entirely different club within 4 years. Could easily happen to Burnley.
