EV servicing.

Our EV is due it's 10,000 mile service, it's a Citroen C4e Citroen in Stockton want to charge a little over £300, iv'e asked what do they do for £300 and the chap got a bit snotty.

Halfords Trunk road is offering to do the same service for £179. ATS even cheaper at £140.

Both say that the warranty is not affected if I book their service rather than Citroen.

Would you go to the cheapest or would you bend over and use Citroen?

I’d read your warranty very carefully!

I dont know about Citroen specifically or if they even do this, but anecdotally I have heard people talk about getting better deals booking servicing centrally through manufacturers web sites as opposed to going to the dealer directly.

I would read this, you can have it serviced elsewhere, but it has to be done to the manufacturers schedule etc including manufacturers parts, no generic stuff, I’d bite the bullet and use Citroen to avoid the potential aggro down the line.

Hope This Helps

Yeah seems pricey. Given how little servicing EV need. I'm surprised it needs a service after only 10000 miles too

You can book Citroen Darlington (Evans Halshaw) online might be worth checking what they charge and comparing.

I’ve always found dealers willing to do a deal for servicing, most of them have the ability to discount. Sometimes being nice but a little cheeky pays off. When I had my Octavia I used to get 20% off just for asking. Replaced with a VW they gave me 10% off just for asking. My last car was a Grandland Hybrid, the lad at Vauxhall Darlington used to give me 15% loyalty discount so I always asked for him when booking.

Nissan don’t discount though the stingy feckers 🤣
