Europa League Final

Spoke to a couple of Man U fans who said DDG should t haven’t been anywhere near the final let alone the shootout.

agree with what was said before, any pro footballer could have read where he was going. Same with test level batsmen being able to pick out balls from bowlers, at that level you need to be ridiculously sharp to deceive and de gea wasnt

All you have to do against him is take your penalty with your head up cos he goes down as your approaching the ball and then just kick it the other way. It was gobsmacking how poor that was.

Praying Man Utd keep Ole in charge.

Watching them fail, year on year is brilliant.

Bloke hasn't got a clue how to win trophies as a manager.

With VAR we'd have gone into the last 10 minutes of a Euro final at 1-1.

But I don't think it would. Kane clearly handballs it against Leicester VAR does nowt, West Ham vs Man Utd ball goes literally 5 yards out of play then Pogba scores VAR does nowt, Bamfords finger is offside against Palace VAR takes 5 minutes then disallow a perfectly good goal.

That's not even the big problem, Football is the beautiful game because of the instantaneous nature of the game. Its finding yourself 20 yards away from where you stood before the goal went in, not knowing how you got there, screaming yourself hoarse, hugging complete strangers because you know for a certainty your teams scored and NOTHING can take that away. Its absolutely not about waiting five minutes whilst people who probably have never properly supported any team nor understand a fraction of what it means, look at TV screens to decide a goal is millimetres offside. It is not an understatement in my view to say it is the worst thing to happen to football as a spectator sport in my lifetime.

I think he means we would have had a penalty for GBH into the back of Viduka in Eindhoven

Might be just me but it seemed De Gea wasn’t that interested. He made quite a few mistakes during the game with his passing and just didn’t seem up for it in the shootout and his reactions at the end summed it up to me.

I'm not saying it wasn't a foul but I don't trust that VAR would have given it because it's set up in such a rigid and arbitrary way.
I do think that probably at least one of our 8 goals in the two comebacks of that run would have been disallowed and I know for a fact every single goal celebration would have been significantly muted in both of those comebacks if we'd had VAR.
