Errea launch kit to mark 20 years since Cup triumph

If anyone likes these retro kits but wants a sponsor/nameset I would highly recommend ‘onmyshirtson’ on instagram.

Cost me £22 for the nameset and sponsor delivered and then got it printed for ~£10 locally. Quite expensive but the real thing can go for £150+

Not the best pics but you get the idea.

Mental how much better that shirt looks with a sponsor and name set added.

should the club and retail not done something - then the same old yawns would be at it, giving the Boro grief and running them down...........ohhh look across a number of threads - they have - no one is forcing you to purchase one - the same old yawns are back with vitriol and attacking the club.

just for the record; I am not in dispute or at war with my football club - constructive criticisms are welcome, the feedback is vital - but this drivel of attacking the football club and the character assassination of Steve Gibson is quite sickening to see - you must be so proud of yourselves and continue to win every argument in your own house.

i can see and hear all of the usual B/S - "So i said, and he said , and i told him, and then i told 'em some more - whats he fink i am ...a fool?"......

a little less ego and a bit more soul.

I thought the 'Dickens' shirts from 94-95 looked good, the 95-96 ones were ok, but it looked funny without a sponsor. I noted that they still have the transporter bridge / old badge detail in the fabric, which was good.

I want a re-release of the 16/17 shirt with it's weird band across the belly. And Gaston to model it.

it's a message bioard primarily about Boro, people are going to comment on stuff positively or negatively,it's inevitable.
The nobody is forcing you to buy one stuff - i don't get it, - i think the point is it would be better for the club if people wanted to because they'd done a good job of it?

I think folks are frustrated because they want to see the club so well.. they want to buy decent gear.. they want to spend money at Middlesbrough Football Club!

Unfortunately suggestions fall on deaf ears and the club continues to fall short..

I’m 100% convinced that the season ticket issue up could have been avoided and the monies brought in from extra ticket sales and retail.

I thought we would have seen sone sort of nod towards it from our kit next season.

For our European Anniversary it would be canny to see a mash up shirt made up from all of our opponents kits.
Errea said they wanted to make the home shirt something new. They want to nod to tradition of course but the point they put across was they wanted to make a shirt that in the future will be coveted and people may be buying as a retro. This was at a zoom call with Errea late last year that the club then turned into a behind the scenes film.

I think your retro idea might well come to fruition in the anniversary year 2026.

I’ll put my order in now!

I think he's almost saying it's a case of damned if they do, damned if they don't. People are not going to agree on everything but some of the comments i've read today on social media just because they haven't put a sponsor on, probably for a valid reason, must have people at the club wondering why they bother.
Let's fleece a few daft fans.
Pathetic comments like this don't help.

The sponsor is such an integral part of the design that it seems pointless to release it without it.

I'd have been tempted with the sponsor, likewise with the 1995/96 top.

“It’s 20 years since our cup final win this weekend, surely this would have been the perfect time for the retail department to release something to commemorate it?? Does no one at MFC have any commercial nous??”

🙄🙄
