Abraham over Wilson? Why? The former has scored just 5 goals in two seasons the latter has scored 28. Your thought process is quite baffling.

I'll stick with my Abrahams over Wilson (who, is playing well) I just feel TA's game is more suited to how England play & has a better all around game than Wilson does.

Stats are not a full picture. Anyone can get injured & - as I said - I don't think Wilson would cope (if needed for more than cameo roles) in that heat, he's changed his game though still not as technically & tactically up to TA's game - IMHO.

Wilson: 28 goals in '2 seasons' I see 14.. & a bigger injury record that I even thought...

#1 reason I'd have picked TA over Wilson is - IMHO - he's a closer match to Kane & how England play than Wilson is.

Southgate picks - his - squad & we have to make do watching & hoping again.... Wilson is on the plane, I hope he & Rice have an outstanding tournament.

It isn't a better league defensively. Ademola Lookman has got 7 goals in 10 starts in that league, he's only got 10 in 50 in the prem before this. Serie A is a shadow of what it used to be

that's a fair point, although I'm not sure that hydration will be an issue in an air conditioned stadium. It's feel 21C apparently which is a lot less than we had in Aug/Sept in the UK
 
If you don't think playing in Qatar is going to materially effect the England squad then maybe check out the latest training video to be uploaded to twitter.
 
Genuinely hope I am wrong but a back 4 that includes McGuire and and Dier, must have the likes of Messi, Mbappe, Benzimar et al foaming at the mouth. A midfield that includes Phillips who has barely kicked a ball all season and a forward line with a rank out of form Sterling (who will start) is a joke. Unless Bellingham carries us and Pickford is out of this world we are gone after 3 or 4 games.

It'll be McGuire OR Dier unless it's a back 5. Even then Stones and Walker will be ahead of Dier.

Maguire is a strange one, because although he's been absolutely dog dirt for the last season and a half, if the only Football you'd ever watched was the last World Cup and Euros you'd think he was one of the worlds best defenders. Depends which one turns up!
