That's cheating. It's still a win.A Boro win, England draw and win the penalty shoot out.

Exactly this. If England can beat France I'll be thrilled and excited, if they lose it'll be a shrug and c'est la vie moment.I posted this in another thread
If Boro lose against Luton it will affect my mood, I wont want to watch the highlights, come on here to talk about the match etc etc. If England lose against France I will have forgotten about it 2 minutes after the final whistle.
Do i still wonder about Gazza's missed chance against Germany in Euro 96 and what could have been? NO
Do i still wonder what might have been if we didn't get three points deducted and the little fella stay's alongside all the rumoured signings? ABSOLUTELY
But if Boro win how long will you be excited for? It’s just a run of the mill win against a side we expect to beat at home.Exactly this. If England can beat France I'll be thrilled and excited, if they lose it'll be a shrug and c'est la vie moment.
If the Boro lose it'll ruin the weekend and I'll be cheesed off until we play (and win) again.
Your first sentence surprises me as you are one of the most vocal about England on here.Took me a matter of minutes to get over that Euro Final penalty defeat against Italy.
However, it puts a dampener on my weekend when 'Boro lose.
Hopefully we both win and we can celebrate on Saturday evening.
I will always watch and follow England and I do invest time in them. And I always will.Your first sentence surprises me as you are one of the most vocal about England on here.
Have to say I was devastated about losing that one. I’ve been more devasted about Boro stuff, but not in recent years while we’ve been scratching about in the middle of the Champioship.
I feel similarI will always watch and follow England and I do invest time in them. And I always will.
But it just never feels the same and I don't have the same level of connection like I do with Middlesbrough.
I do think the time with Southgate as manager has made me like and connect to England a lot more than any other manager has, but it still isn't the same and doesn't come remotely close, although I must say I follow and appreciate England more now than I have ever done before.
