England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 v Finland 🇫🇮 - 7:45pm ITV1

Jarrod Bowen coming on for Kane to play up front, shows the lack of real depth behind him in the pecking order.

Bowen's a great player too, just not a striker.

Bet Kane was gutted to be subbed off whilst on a hat-trick.

Agree with your take, but Bowen can play as a centre forward. He looks to play on the shoulder and always looks forward. Not sure he could do a job there against the better teams though.

Don't mind Bowen as a striker he's don't it plenty enough at times for West Ham.

More of a forward than a winger type like Saka or madueke.

Remember when Newcastle fans said Trippier was better than TAA 😂 he has to start for me. Criminal that this is only the second time he has played 2 games in a row for England.

Challenge for us is the next striker to Kane has 6 goals for England.

Hard to read too much in to it as it's against another poor team, but some very promising individual performances there either way.

Can't see Greece offering much more either, so it'll be a potentially long wait until a real test shows up for Carsley (who I'm 100% expecting to be offered the job permanently).

Might get a decent team in the World Cup qualifying.

Credit where credit is due, Tripper's been a good footballer and was better than Trent. TAA's got better over the last few seasons and will eclipse any Tripper's performances both domestically and at national level. One player is going forward and the other coming to the end of a very good career.

He's put in a very good performance tonight.

No no. Trippier has NEVER been better than Trent. Wasn’t at spurs. Wasn’t at Madrid. Isn’t at Newcastle. Sadly I expect Trent to have a good season and then go off to Real Madrid.

Impressed with Gomes. Very composed, makes quick decisions and with tempo. Allows Rice to be more advanced which suits him better.
We came out in the second half and played with more intensity and sustained pressure and got the breakthrough.

Decent start for Carsley with the context of some below par opposition, but nice to see us able to create chances and breakdown a low block.

Gomes was excellent, he was everywhere always positive too, great pressing off the ball. Carsley has done well, the opposition aint the best but there's not anything he can do other than play against who you are given.

Was some finish that. Reminded me of a Jimmy Floyd special.
Just what I was thinking. JFH is surely the hardest hitter of the ball I have ever seen in a Boro shirt ... obviously, his free-kick against Man City that secured us another season in Europe... I will never forget, one of my favorite Boro goals ever.

How the hell he generated that much power with barely a step up, is always something I have been fascinated by. Christ. That is some technique .. I know he had thighs like tree trunks but still, must be hard to pull that off as well as he did on that day.

Crashed in off under the bar too, to cap it off. It always makes the goal look 100 times better :ROFLMAO: ... Tony Yeboah-esque - another one who could do the same. My personal Yeboah fave was his strike vs Wimbledon, good grief. Another good example.

The control, jinky run, makes the perfect space to put his foot through the ball like he did. Sublime. Defo in my top ten PL goals (foot like a traction engine!!)

If the keeper got a hand on that it would have taken his arm off haha

Special mentions also have to go to Clarence Seedorf, and Ronaldo, but that strike was glorious tonight from Kane

What a gifted man and how lucky England has been to have him, just a shame it's hard to see us ever lifting a trophy with Kane as he is not getting any younger and I think he deserves it. Mad that there is such a lack of silverware for all the man's achievements on the numbers

As pointed out above there isn't much competition in his mold within the English squad, hopefully someone comes along soon like him soon. It is essential we have a striker who absolutely leathers the ball 100mph :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

If you haven't seen it, watch Gary Neville's Soccer Box when he interviews Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink. Jimmy comes across very well and speaks about his free kick against Man City.
