EE WiFi mini help

I have a 4g WiFi mini that I normally use in France but are having trouble connecting to it with both my iPhone and laptop. I have 30gb data for 90 days that I haven’t been able to access but when I go to log in it takes me to the data top up page.

Any suggestions?

Have you tried http://add-on.ee.co.uk/

that's the page that tells me what data mine has left on a rolling month contract in Uk.

When was the last time you connect fine in France with it ?
That page is linked on the page I get directed to. I haven’t used any data and only the number of days usage have decreased from 90 to 80 days. The last time I used this device here was in August 22.

I called them yesterday and spoke with an advisor who was unsure of what I needed. She asked if she could put me on hold whilst she found out the answer. She came back to me on two occasions to apologise regarding the length of time I was on hold and then the call was terminated at their end after 41 mins and exactly 7pm UK time.

I’m going to have to do it all again or just buy an Orange WiFi here in France.

Thanks for the responses.

Hi guys, just an update on the WiFi mini.

Today I managed to speak to a tech guy at EE who told me I would need to purchase roaming to use it in the EU. The cost, on top of the £44 I had already paid for 30gb data for 90 days was an extra £2.50 per day or £10 per week. I am out here until September and it would work out close to an extra £80 on top of what I use to pay.

The guy agreed to cancel the data I had bought and reimbursed me my £44.

When I am in Dax I will pop into the Orange shop and buy the WiFi local.

Another Brexit benefit.

P.S. I would also like to add that this is EE exploiting its customers, other providers don’t charge for roaming in the EU.

Some don't, but lots do.

Who are you with for your phone? Can you not hotspot?

Today was the first time we have ventured into a large town and came across an Orange phone shop and was able to purchase an Orange 4G Coffret Pret a surfer 4G+ with 10GB of internet as a starter pack for 60€. The device is similar size to the EE mini one I have and to top up further costs 20€ from the local BarTabac. I dare say for a further 10 GB of data.

This is better than EE having my eyes out for roaming charges. IMG_5901.jpeg
