It wasn't meant to solve the problems in our society though was it? It was a short term aid to help businesses which it certainly did whilst we returned to a more normal way of life. Perhaps it will turn out to be only a short term fix if the virus returns with a vengance but doing something was better thn doing nothing.

It was meant to stimulate the economy, helping out restaurants and giving us all cheaper food for a bit.

Did you really think it was going to solve all the countries ills? That’s a very odd thing to think about a single scheme. Why did you think that?
