More people die in high dependency units than ICU . . . some people are too ill or fragile to be ventilated.

But that orange line shows the difference compared with March/April..... nothing close to then, much slower increase consistent with the seasonal pattern and a less susceptible population.

With hospital admissions continuing to go up and there being a lag to critical care you’d expect more to be admitted to ICU

I don't know the in's and outs of that, I'm not a clinician. I'll know more from my friends (yes, doctors, consultants) this weekend. If they want to talk about it, they may not.
