Uh, have you been paying attention to US politics, like, at all? The Republican party is an absolute mess, and fractured to hell. They are losing their majority in the senate day by day and can't agree on anything.

Also Trump couldn't even win the public vote in 2016 when his popularity was at an all time high, so what makes you think he can win it this time? He's been hemorrhaging voters in the primaries, too.

Half of the RNC are now having 2nd thoughts (too late) about Lara Trump being the lead for the committee and aghast at the prospect of funds being used to pay Trumps legal bills (half a billion dollars and counting)
 
You have to hope enough traditional Republican voters are as horrified by the prospect of a Trump win as the rest of us are and it’s just a very vocal brainwashed minority who are getting attention.

I have some concerns about what extremists might do if he loses again and also whether some in key positions who believe conspiracies about vote interference in the last election might decide to do something like that for Trump this time around.

There’s no concerns they’ll riot 100% it will be carnage because they now know they can’t lose so all the turner diary nutters will be out and ready to protect their saviour.

You’ve got to be careful relying on clipped footage. Apparently he was talking about the threat of Chinese car imports.
Trump has never been fit for office but clipping footage to fuel a narrative might end up backfiring. With that being said, I just can not see that Trump will have gained any more support since 2016 and 2020. With the disarray in the Republican Party I’m guessing it will be a big Biden win. I just dont accept the current polling at all.
 
After yesterday's speech, he's unlikely to win any DeSantis or Haley voters.

Not saying they'll vote for Biden (a small portion probably will) but his comments, along with repeated calls for his voters not to mail in their votes, is going to absolutely cripple him.

It's a very strange strategy.

I get that but he wasn’t talking about the Chinese at all it’s dog whistle politics it’s what he does he says outlandish things then pretends it’s a different context he knows what he said.

It’s pretty clear what he’s doing.

He’s using extremist terms and phrases and applying them to more mundane discussions so that he can claim in his defence that he’s just talking about the economic ‘bloodbath’….but he knows what he’s doing, he setting a seed in people’s mind. He’s creating an association in his cults mind between losing the election and bloodbath. It’s classic cult manipulation

When he talked about there being a bloodbath, he wasn't referring to Chinese car imports.

He pivoted to that immediately afterwards, but the main narrative and talking point there has to be the reference to the violence that he's predicting will ensue if he doesn't win the election.
