Donald Trump - another irrelevance if he becomes president

If he was 11/10 Biden must have been odds on. You wouldn’t have 2 odds against in a 2 horse race. Haley would have been about 1,000/1 so can’t count her

Currently on SkyBet:

Donald Trump: 10/11
Joe Biden: 2/1

I think I got 6/1 on Trump winning in 2016. There is hardly anything in it and I presume The Don is as short as he is due to the constant coverage and polls BUT it just goes to show that the bookies don’t really know.

I still honestly believe that Biden will win. There is talk about Haley’s supporters not voting for him, talk of women not voting for him due to his repressive views on birth control, talk of minorities abandoning him. He can’t win new voters - they know what he is like.

In 2016 it was a 3 way split for the Republican nomination, Trump, Cruz & 3rd guy that went all the way to the end of April before the other two withdrew.

This time even with Haley's stubborn resistance it has been a 1 horse race to be the Republican nominee.

All the experts on here said no way.
It WILL happen.
I repeat again and again...... do not underestimate the stupidity of the US voters.

He's going to prison (or at the least, house arrest at MAL.)

The wheels of justice turn slowly, but they're always turning.

It's looking increasingly unlikely that any of the main criminal cases that could see him sentenced to prison (Jan 6 insurrection, classified documents, Georgia election interference) will be completed before the elections are held in November. And if he makes it into the Oval Office, all bets are off - he'll pardon himself on the federal charges and according to some legal experts, if the Georgia case isn't complete by then, it could well be put on hold.

What Happens If Trump Is Convicted in Winter 2024?

New York University law professor Stephen Gillers told Newsweek that the Supreme Court would likely delay Trump's Georgia trial, in which he is accused of illegal interference in the 2020 presidential election, until he was out of office.

Also, even if he were convicted, that apparently wouldn't necessarily prevent him from serving as president anyway.

Yeah you would never get 2 both odds against. Poster said trump was 11/10 but that would have meant Biden was odds on, something I don’t think is correct

The problem is his brain-dead cult members.

It's a problem we have stolen from them too. Partisan politics leads to people defending there "side" no matter what and lets them know they can do whatever they like and still get support. You even see it on here. Tory shills, even when they know they can't defend the reprehensible actions of their party will still try and deflect or distract from the conversations. Imagine being that person? Knowing something is wrong, but defending the person that does it because they are on your side? Imagine being so weak in critical thought and so desperate to be "right" that we have to defend the worst of behaviours

His stated aim is to delay all this past the election , then win and dismiss the charges or appoint someone who will

It seems to be going to plan so far

8 months to go....

NY Hush money trial starts this month, unlikely to see any jail time (even though Michael Cohen was already found guilty of doing what Trump is now being charged with, and has served his jail time) but a conviction of any sort will see Trump labelled a felon and no matter what, he cannot pardon himself for it.

I would expect Biden's campaign (when he finally launches it) will focus heavily on pushing this point, along with him being a serial rapist and not as wealthy as he claims to be.

It's going to be a very rough few months for Trump going forward.

His immediate issue is finding the half billion he needs for the bonds in his civil cases. He wants to appeal them, but unless he posts the full amount of each award then he can't appeal.
If they start taking his assets then it'll explode the myth that he's a billionaire many times over. It might not affect his hardcore support, but it'll bring actual reality and his version it into conflict in many voters eyes. His brand, as he says himself, is priceless. If his brand is tarnished then it'll hurt him badly.
As an aside, 92 year old Rita Moreno (West Side Story) had the audience of The View in stitches when she told them about the Trump Sandwich. Two slices of white bread, a load of baloney and a small pickle.

Just watched the SOTU address, absolutely fantastic work from Joe Biden.

I love how the far right are now claiming he spoke "overly loud and confidently"...yet another conspiracy theory they can promote. 🙄

To add to the above, there were reasons certain Republicans didn't want Biden doing it after he had already accepted their invitation to.

Unfortunately what you or I think doesn't matter.

You need to stop your bias against Trump (which I fully understand, the guy is joke) from blurring your judgement.

Sounds like trump has told Orban he'd be ready to roll over and leave Ukraine to Putin. At best.

"the war will be over in 24 hours" sounds particularly sinister. Thinking of supporting Putin even?

Yet the commie hating rednecks still him. Utterly baffling.
