Watching Saint and Greavsey on ITV4 and they were doing the FA cup draw from America. I didn't realise it at first, but Donald Trump did the draw and picked Peterborough v Boro. I remember going 1975 I think.

I remember the 1975 match, wedged in behind the goal, you couldn’t move for about 2 hours until the match finished and the crowd dispersed, I wouldn’t be able to do that now.

This was in 1992 and it finished 0-0 in one of the worst games I've ever seen.
So was I, and I’d agree (although away at Ipswich under Strachan was worse).
However, as a ‘local’ with lots of Posh friends, I was happy to grab a replay! Jamie Pollock was the one highlight for me.

It was 1975 we'd beat Wycombe and Sunderland previously and went on to play Birmingham in the next round. We'd beat them twice that season but were beaten 1-0 , Bob Latchford I think.
Saint and Greavsey were in America cos of the World cup the next year.

I remember a bloke at work recounting his memory of the game at Posh to me (and how he met Jack Charlton). He'd been on nights Friday and got the coach down on Saturday morning. With the crush in the away end, lack of sleep and a few cans he passed out and was pulled from the crowd by St. John's ambulance. As he was carried past the dugouts on a stretcher Big Jack looked down at him and muttered...."drunken b@st@rd".😊

Yes that sounds like the away end at Peterborough for that match. I didn’t think much about it at the time, thought it was just the way it was but years later after Hillsborough that crush was the first thing that came to mind. Around the same time I also remember being in Roker Park, the old clock stand terrace, Boro end full so we ended up in there and that was dangerous as well, an old Mackem bloke next to me was complaining to a policeman patrolling the running track that he couldn’t breathe. In tune with the times the policeman just smiled at him…

It was the draw for the quarter-final of the League Cup in 91/92.

In 1975 Greavsie had just contested a by-election as a member of the Tory party (he lost).
He started playing football again at the end of 1975 in the lower leagues. He retired early (age 31) in 1971 due to problems with alcoholism and his weight.
One hell of a player in his prime though.
