Dominic Cummings cottage

Ha ha you could tell the way he quickly down played it that he realised he’d given too much away oh it’s barely a house at all just a concrete structure etc...

I've got some Emmenthal in the fridge that has got smaller holes in it. Mind, they might be holes in the Gouda made during one of Johnson's emergency fridge excursions.

I'm interested to hear them call it a farm. I know the area, and I see from the link in Wee Gord's OP that it's actually North Lodge Burn Hall. That makes sense, but not sure that it was a farm. It (Burn Hall) is a late Georgian pile that was a Mill Hill Fathers' seminary until 1971. The entrance to the Hall is at the bottom of the hill and the Lodge is to the North (surprise), going uphill towards what used to be the **** o' The North pub.

Well hopefully they can pull it down as it has no planning permissions, being in a conservation zone, after all, that seems to be what happens to everyday folk. I hope this proves costly. Furthermore, failing to register it for council tax must constitute some offence in itself too. It is incredible the lodge is only a band D valuation. Staggering what the rich and famous could get away with. This definitely isn’t going away though. I hope the council have the balls to throw the book at him.

There're all sorts of possibilities about the 'cottage' which looks like an agricultural building to me rather than a dwelling. Only the local council know or can ascertain the actual planning and council tax status, hopefully some journo will get on the case.
