DT is very good in that role it has to be said - i wonder what they offered him to tempt him back

Wasn’t a particularly strong story though and seemed to race through it, much like the comic strip it was developed from…
Good to see DT and CT back in familiar roles though…

Ticked all the boxes comments can just bloody well sod off.
Loved the bit when Donna’s MTF daughter chose her name and chose Rose
And the bit about wilf being in sheltered accommodation. Not dead.
To me, Russell T Davies knows exactly how to write an episode of Doctor who that the casual fan who knows the history, can name a few old companions, knows the monsters, etc etc. can relate to.
Moffat and especially chibnall just wrote a load of unintelligible bollox.
By contrast RTD’s stuff was -always easy to follow. Like tonight’s episode.
Be interesting to see where it goes now Disney are involved

I did lemmy. Im getting mixed up with showrunner and writer. I lost the plot with it early on in Matt Smiths time and never really got it back. The last season with Jodie Whitaker was completely incomprehensible.

Have to say though, Moffatts storylines were very complex and sometimes required a rewatch to make sure you understood what was going on.

Tom Baker is my favourite Dr by a mile.
Thought it was okay, and nothing more than that. Way better than Chin Balls, but that isn't saying much. My dog would've made a better showrunner than Chin Balls. The Moffat/Smith era was the best of the new Who by some distance. Troughton is still my favourite doctor though.

It was an ok episode but the character meep was a complete rip off of a similar character with the same name from the Disney series phineus and ferb

I think you've covered most of it there, Aet. Possibly a 'furry' thing going on, too with the Meepy fella. Did you like Tennant's hair? It seemed to be doing most of those pesky 'acting' bits that Tennant isn't capable of doing himself.
