Dominic Thiem? I do like Thiem but that is an odd shout. He's also what? 27/28. Are you sure you mean Thiem and not someone else like Sinner or Rune?

Someone else will come along you'd hope who'll end up raising their level because of Alcarez. You need rivalries.

Might be someone in the juniors given Alcarez is only just 20. Ridiculously good for that age.
 
Fantastic final and I'm not usually a huge fan of Djokovic I really felt for him when he was speaking after the game.

Seems the king is dead, long live the king.
 
Great game. Alcaraz really has the tennis world at his feet. His speed and power are immense.

Djokovic as always speaks brilliantly whether in victory or defeat in the post final interviews. It was very moving to see him engage with his son.

He’s a winner and at times can come across as unsympathetic but I think that’s only because during the matches he is such a winner.

And at the risk of opening up "that" debate again, I see the two royal brats were there in the best seats in the house ....... and I'd bet every last centime I've got that after nearly 5 hours they were bored out of their tiny little minds but have been brainwashed not to show it

Brilliant day out, fantastic place, everything about it is quality and it’s not a rip off when you are there or wasn’t last time I went about 6 years ago.

Great to see and worth every penny etc.

One of my favourites yesterday were words to the effect of "(referring to Djokovic's Mrs) She's the best barometer as to how he's doing. When she starts getting into it you know it's getting intense".

Eh? I would've thought the scoreline would be a better one like. Along with, you know, how well he's actually playing 🙄.

It's more dumbed down than football commentary, which is saying something. Commentary for readers of "hello" magazine.
