she is the worst kind of person. I have plenty of other words to describe her but they’d just appear as x’s on here.
 
It is all part of the fight to be rightest. To try to take over leadership as the centreists get squeezed out of the party.

They know they are going to lose ground to the Lib Dems and Labour. So are trying to save their party by taking votes from extreme right wing groups.
 
I don’t understand how they think this type of stuff will win votes. The most selfish Tory I know wouldn’t begrudge a homeless person having a frigging tent! Even the most red blooded gammony type knuckle draggers wouldn’t!
This type of stuff can’t be a culture war/division sowing move either, as I’m pretty sure all sides of the political debate would object to this type of measure?
Who do they expect to appeal to, with this stuff?
I mean, they have people actually employed to look at issues and strategies that they can use for culture wars and for stoking hate and fear and division, but surely they’ve made a mistake here?
Or am I just underestimating the mindset of the typical Tory or swing voter, and this idea will actually be a vote winner?
 
She really has her priorities right doesn’t she? All the problems in the country and she is worrying that homeless people are to warm.

The real sickener is she's right to calculate the edge this gives her. The political and moral compass of this country has steadily shifted since the 80s. What once would have been shockingly callous and cruel is now just 'firm government', 'strong medicine' and all the other epithets we use to disguise barbarity.

It's not aimed at the wider electorate - it's aimed at the Tory party membership. She wants to be the next leader and that decision will be in the hands of the same people who elected Liz Truss. They lap this sort of stuff up.

What have we become in this country when we are targeting the homeless? Just when you think Braverman cannot stoop any lower, she comes out with another beauty.

I don’t buy that, people vote for them knowing find well what their policies are and the type of people they are. Anyone voting Tory is just as bad as they enable this type of behaviour
 
I think the real reason is to play to the tory members gallery so she is seen as hard line when Sunak is finally replaced. She is positioning herself to hope to be their next leader and the tory faithful, behind their net curtains, in their heartlands love nothing more than to see the have nots punished as they think they are all skivers, alcoholics, druggies or people who are just not willing to contribute to society and the homeless are just human litter.

She is truly horrid.
