Dijksteel & Lumley

I do think it's time to bring in Daniels.
I don't rate either, but Lumley has made too many errors to deserve to stay in
However I think Lumley will stay in for the rest of the season

Lumley shouldn't be anywhere near the first team, I'd rather have Dimi back for the rest of the season

Dijksteel, thought he had an excellent game against West Brom, been generally solid over the last few games. Yesterday.......not sure what was going on with him and Fry. Bad day at the office I hope.

In the first half yesterday Lumley was let down by his defence, however he did make two fine diving saves which kept the score down to 2-0.
For the third goal the Dijksteel was responsible for the position we found ourselves in. Lumley was in a decent position and would have been ok if, after Dijksteel had recovered he had continued to shepherd Bassi to Lumley's right, but Dijksteel got turned which left Lumley exposed.
To say that Lumley was badly positioned is false because the ball was fired right at him but unfortunately he was caught as he tried to readjust and make himself big.

It wasn’t exactly fired at him, let’s just be honest ,he is a poor goalkeeper and unfortunately he’s ours until at least the end of the season. I don’t think I’ve seen a keeper so flat footed and rooted to the spot.He just doesn’t attempt to get down to anything, maybe it’s his eyesight,as he doesn’t seem to react until it’s too late.

I’d say it was gently poked towards him , plus the way he stood meant he had no way of getting down to a shoot either side of him. His only hope was a shoot at waist height close to his body.

Lumley makes ricks, yesterdays result was not down to him. He wasn't the worst player on the pitch by some way.

Dijksteel was the main culprit for the goal, nobody is going to argue against that, but it's nonsense to try and absolve Lumley of blame.

The ball rolled in at 1mph whilst he stood gormlessly off his line with his legs wide open.

He should have done better with the second goal too.

He needs dropping.

Dijksteel looked like he was pulling a bag of concrete with him.
Joe gets lots of stick - and at times he appears to take avoidable risks. Yesterday - especially the first half - our usually reliable defence was all at sea. After the first two goals - our defenders were blaming each other, pointing fingers and looking daggers. The second goal suggested it wasnt going to be our day >>>
:(

I'm not concerned about Djiksteele. I think he's good enough although he didnt have a good game yesterday. We also have replacements in the squad who can come in and do a job. Like most, I am concerned about Lumley but we have no other decent options. I hate it when you have players who love the club and are happy to be here but simply are'nt good enough.
