Didn't know what they were voting for

Don’t know what’s worse. The fact they didn’t know this but voted it through, or the fact the twitter comments are full of people fully supporting the government and going off at the EU about it.

One of the bigger turds in the Tory party and he's up against some stiff competition.

He's essentially admitting he lied when saying there was an oven ready deal. But he lied intentionally to trick people into voting for them. Now they have power they can do whatever the f*ck they want. Our wonderful democracy in action.

IDS has always wanted no deal. But he knows the majority of the country don't. Therefore has intentionally tried to mislead and tricked people down that path. Selfish entitled pr*ck.

So in 2016 when we knew f all about what was going on, we all fully understood what we were voting for.

Four years later with Boris having negotiated an oven ready deal that was so simple he kicked out 21 Tory grandees for voting for more than 3 days scrutiny by parliament, IDS is complaining that we should throw the agreement out.

Only thing to say is 'You won. Live with it'

BoJos "triumphant" deal which was basically backtracking to the one May had reached with the EU, the one he voted against saying no Prime Minister could accept. You couldn't make it up.
We're seeing staggering levels of incompetence, ignorance and dishonesty from our government now. Actual Brexit reality is looming up at the end of the year and the most incompetent government we've ever seen haven't got a clue what it really means.

Has anyone seen any credible details about this because I've only seen it in the Sun so it's devoid of any facts.

It reads to me like we, along with the EU as a whole, have loaned money to EU countries to do X, Y & Z. It would require those countries to go bankrupt for them to not pay the loans back so in reality that £160bn figure is meaningless because the majority (if not all) of the loans will be paid back over time. Some of those loans are probably to ourselves even.

Like I say though, the article is lacking in detail and nowhere else seems to have picked it up so I could be way off.

Credible details? Not really, but IDS has just tweeted about it. Hence the entire thread.

Why would he be ok if he had raped somebody?

What a bizarre statement

Putting political views aside I think some of the comments being made about rape on here are not on.
There may be posters or family members of on here who have been affected by the subject so let’s not use it so flippantly for political point scoring.

By credible details I mean someone has done some analysis on what it entails, instead of just repeating the tweet from IDS. I don't doubt that it is in the WA but I do doubt that it has been missed by everyone because there were plenty of people that did full analysis of the WA even if the papers didn't report it line by line.

It emphasises a point. People who attack brexit get badly punished by the Tory party. People accused of rape get supported.
It’s a significant way of pointing out how skewed the party has become.

IDS did, one assumes as he signed up for it

Because the tory party goes out of its way to protect rapists.

Does it? What rapists have they protected?

I certainly haven’t been made aware of this fact. I’m guessing you are just making it up though

Surely Cummings will have him disciplined now? You can't trash the catastrophe that is Brexit in this government.

If only he'd have raped someone. He'd be OK.

No rape has been proven, to try and use it as some kind of political score is pretty disgusting to be honest with you

Totally agree. It’s shocking how the supposed tolerant (good guys) are willing to stoop so low to try and point score.

I am interested in Wilkos reply. Maybe he has some information we aren’t aware off
