As for years I was reading about how well he was doing in Sweden with Ostersund and how he was desperate for a chance to manage back in England. Even at Stoke it was clear he had great management skills and it was W bold step by Brighton but he really does look like the real deal.

I think he managed Swansea, not Stoke?

I've not been that impressed by him in English/Welsh football. I thought he underachieved with the Swansea team and then flattered to deceive at Brighton. Until this season; I won't pretend I'm not impressed this year, but it will take more than 1 good season to convince me that his approach is of real benefit.

He's a great story, qnd seems to be a good guy, so I'm pleased for him. But I remain to be convinced that possession for the sake of possession football really makes teams win in the long term.

I thought Swansea were going to go into freefall after relegation. I know they had parachute advantages but the whole club was a complete mess. The Americans had torn up the whole fabric of the community club and also put them into big debt. I thought Graham Potter did a remarkable job in the circumstances as for me they might have gone into complete meltdown and dropped back through the divisions again.
