Did anyone have any family in the WW2 Middlesbrough Train Station Bombing?

When I was a kid I would visit my Gran who lived on Walker St in Newport. The night they bombed the town they also went for the gas tanks at the bottom of the rd. All missed but the blast cracked 2 of her upstairs windows. She refused to have them fixed as it would be letting Hitler make her spend money and glass was in short supply.
They were still cracked when she was moved out in the late 60"s and the houses were eventually knocked down.

My Grandad was a train driver and he told me the story of the station bombing, his engine was waiting to pass through Middlesbrough station as the bombing happened, lucky escape.

My Nana told me a boy came up to her in WW1 when she was a little girl. He showed her a matchbox and opened it out and inside was the thumb of a German Zeppelin operator.

There was a thread about bombing raids on Teesside a month ago on here. My mum still remembers the ones on South Bank as though they happened yesterday.
