Yes there is currently a lot of debate around the Derby / Boro situation atm, each set of fans entrenched in their respective opinions of “Gibson wants us liquidating and is the bad guy” and “Gibson is doing what The EFL should have done” however the vast majority of fans from both clubs are not scum, or horrible - they are passionate about their club and very tribal, the essence of football in England.
I try to explain that to people at work who don’t go to football. Us versus them. The team, the fans, the town.
It’s great getting to the station and seeing the same faces or stopping at the services and spotting another Boro.
