Derby county

Had a look on the Derby forum some points I've taken from having a gander -

1. Derby think they've done no wrong in regards to EFL charges

2. Mel Morris can literally do no wrong in their eyes

3. They despise our very own Mr Gibson

Are derby fans suffering from delusion? Not one of the posts I saw were questioning the football club for their financial activities In the last few years and some even say we are guilty of failing the EFL test (something to do with taxes not 100%)

If we were in derbys position I'm sure a lot of questions would be asked of our football club but Derby think they've done nothing wrong.

Some good reading.

Derby are a side who broke from the old third division many years ago, having lived in a hovel with a sloping pitch and a quagmire.

That was untill our own Mr Clough and Mr Taylor turned them into a force to be reckoned with.

Since his departure and his transference the other side of the M1 in the neighbouring county, Cloughie`s legacy remains on the southside of the Trent in Nottinghamshire.
Derby are an average mid-table, nearly-man, club, who occasionally put a good run together and beat big teams.

Derby dont like Forest - but that history goes back before Cloughie. Forest were a mid table anonymous East Midlands team before Cloughie arrived. The enviable bubble of cup runs and European victories thrust them into the limelight.

Since then, they have grasped at straws - trying to emulate better supported and far more successful teams.

There`s some good local football in Derby / Notts / Erewash but its hardly a "hotbed" of talent - unless you are a deluded Trees or Rams fan.(n)

They hate Gibson because he headed the witch hunt against his dodgy dealings. It still seems very strange.

I think its more a case they have skirted around the laws rather than broke them. I guess that's what clever money men do.

The do seem to throw money around and big contacts with little or no concern for FFP (as do Forest). It makes you wonder if everyone is being 'cleverer' than us or we just massively over spent (we did).

Rooney is on 50k a week😕. Some strange set up where 32Red may a percentage.... That's gotta be dodgy? They should do the same for Britt👍

I'd heard Rooney was on £120k PW and 32 red were covering most of it

Pretty much. They have an "enhanced sponsorship deal" with Derby because they have Rooney. Doesn't take a genius to work out that most of that enhanced deal will be going towards Wazza's wages.

Of course the fact he wears the number 32 shirt is just a massive coincidence. "Wayne has always liked that number as it's exactly half the age of his ideal woman." said a club spokesman.
