Derby administrators on Wycombe and Boro compensation claims [Derby`s Live]

I see figures have just been released regarding the money Derby and the clubs connected companies owe the HMRC and it doesn't make good reading for Derby fans. Derby owe the HMRC £29.3m and also have a loan of £20m owed to MSD Holdings. They also owe a further £15m to football and trade creditors and £8.37m in outstanding player registration fees, plus a further £504,000 in agents' commission. More than £1m is owed to the Wasserman agency, while the Triple S Sports Management company, owned by manager Wayne Rooney's long-time adviser Paul Stretford, is owed £60,000. St John Ambulance is owed £8,000.

If my maths are correct, Derby owe a total of £74.35m. I think it will be the HMRC debt that will cripple them.

Mel Morriss certainly knew what he was doing.

On the situation with Pride Park Stadium, which is owned by former owner Mel Morris, Jackson was asked if the stadium would be included in the sale of the club.

"Yes. Our position has not changed there at all," Jackson said.

"We would expect that once we have effectively landed on a preferred purchaser for the club, that preferred purchaser will also acquire the stadium. So the two are joined again.
Eh? So just what was sold then and to who’m to generate this FFP loophole.

Derby County’s ground is exactly the same as ours. Give it to Gibbo for the settlement and we can use it for spares! My seat could do with an upgrade. (y)
Excellent idea.
Only problem is they don't own the stadium because they sold it.
You must remember. It was the business deal of the century.
They made a fortune by finding some idiotic club willing to pay more than three times what it was worth.
Oh no wait. They sold it to themselves didn't they?
Somehow?
So your idea will work.

Does Gibson seriously think he's doing himself or MFC any favours by very publicly kicking a club when its down?
Wycombe have a case. We don't.
Is he just having a go at Derby though. In practical terms yes, but I think it's also highlighting to the EFL that they need to be far tighter in policing this.
I think the rules need to be clarified/updated so punishments are clear and fixed to end this long winded negotiation that delays the punishment. I also think the rule should change so that clubs "avoiding" punishment by gaining promotion to the Premier League should return to League 2 if they are relegated.
