Whilst the gesture is great, the cynic in me can't help but feel it's marketing gimmick to shift units, if they're giving profits from the shirts to Amnesty that would make it seem more wholesome and coming from a pure heart.

I think it's up to the FA to take action and I suggest we wear black armbands, have a minutes silence before every game and fly our flag at half mast throughout Qatar during the tournament, mourn the death of the soul of football.

Yeah, I mean it's better than nothing I suppose (and more than anyone else is doing so far) but still feels like a very "capitalist" protest against something that capitalism has played a big part in.

They're donating "a portion" of their sales to amnesty. Which means they're still making money out of it for themselves of course. I agree, if it was all profit then that would be much more meaningful.

Don't get me wrong, as I say better than nothing and better than anyone else, so credit for that. But it's a pretty low bar.
