Denmark - Tunisia

Still goalless, more goals ruled out for offside. Am predicting now that Jesper Lindstrom will come on as a late(ish) sub for the Danes and get the winner. Been in cracking nick for Eintracht Frankfurt this year, and so far the weird timing of this competition suggests players are bringing their club form with them.
Well, nearly.

On the VAR decision.
I think the ref ruled there was a foul at the near post as the ball came. You can see it on some replays. A Dane pushed one to the Tunisian players before the ball reached the Tunisian player who "handled" it.
That was why the ref gave a free kick and why it wasn't a corner.

I didn't see this at first and thought it was a stone wall but fair play to the Ref.

Not sure how it was a stone wall penna

The guy did't even see the ball coming as the denmark player ran in front of his line of sight and it cannoned into his chest and just happened to hit his arm

He would have needed the reaction time of a fly to put his arms behind his back - absolutely sick to the back teeth of games being decided by utter
***** penalties, the law needs to be clear as mud i.e deliberate hand ball liek it used to be and nobody argued against it, all this unatural position b***ks ,
how the **** can you be a defender in the penalty area with your arms glued to your back

Must admit I thought the reason it wasn't given was the chest-arm deflection although I've got the sound off.

I'm a big fan of Denmark but they need to vary their attacks in future matches. Yes, they have world class wide players but they were too predictable and easy to defend against. Some vertical interplay through middle would have stretched Tunisia's backline more.

For some reason, I quite fancied the North African teams like Morocco and Tunisia to spring a few surprises in this tournament. They are my dark horses.

Think they will be fanatically supported as it’s the first “Arab” World Cup. At least the conditions will be closer to what they’re used to than the European & South American teams, and they might get a bit of “home” team love.

They both have some bloody good players too, work like demons and some real ability.
