Dean smith sacked now

Think Villa have jumped the gun a bit there. They’re going through a bad patch and unlikely to go down. Typical of want it now foreign owners.

They've lost 5 on the bounce and are only 2 points above the relegation zone.

One of the teams in the relegation zone is now the richest club in the world.

I don't think they'd have gone down either but I can understand why their owners are nervous.

Sacking season is here it seems
Always happening with Villa and the ambition of their owners. Smith was the choice to take them up and stabilise, now they've achieved that, they'll go for a new man to get them back into Europe and so the cycle will continue. Very harsh on Smith though, he'll probably get the Norwich job now realistically and become 2021's answer to John Gregory.

How safe is Thomas Frank's role at Brentford, they seem to be dropping and are only 4 points above Burnley who occupy the bottom 3rd relegation spot.
